MODELS AFFECTED
All Lycoming aircraft engines except the following: O-235, O-290, O-435-A, GO-435-C2, VO-435, TVO-435.
TIME OF COMPLIANCE
At anytime heavy wall piston pins are selected for use.
Heavy wall piston pin P/N LW-14078 supersedes heavy wall piston pin P/N LW-14077 and thin wall piston pins P/N 69650, P/N LW-13444, P/N LW-12383 and P/N LW-13446. The superseded pins are no longer used in engines manufactured, rebuilt, overhauled or repaired by Lycoming. The superseded heavy wall piston pin P/N LW-14077 may be reused in field overhauled or repaired engines. The superseded thin wall piston pins P/N 69650, P/N LW-13444, P/N LW-12383 and P/N LW-13446 may not be reused in engines that have been either field overhauled or repaired.
