MODELS AFFECTED

All Lycoming engines with S-20 and S-200 series TCM magnetos.

TIME OF COMPLIANCE

Within 50 hours of engine operation or at the next maintenance event, whichever occurs first.

This Service Bulletin applies to the torque values for the four screws that are used to attach the ignition harness attachment plate for S-20 and S-200 series TCM magnetos on Lycoming engines.

Spare parts for the engine models identified in Table 1 shipped from Lycoming between August 18, 2010 and April 15, 2011 Lycoming engines, identified in Table 2, with P/N LW-13807 installed at time of purchase and shipped from Lycoming between August 18, 2010 and April 15, 2011.

Within 10 hours of engine operation or at the next maintenance event, whichever occurs first.

This Service Instruction identifies a new spring, P/N 05S21021 that replaces spring P/N 55C21021 in the oil filter bypass valve. This replacement is to be done during overhaul or if oil filter element collapse occurs during cold starts.
